
With their 1,300-kilometer arc and numerous peaks over 2,500 meters, the Carpathians are the second-largest high mountain range and one of Europe’s last wild natural landscapes. This unique natural treasure is covered by Europe’s largest contiguous forest area and, likely for this reason, is home to the largest population of wolves and bears on the entire continent.
The tour requires good physical conditioning for ascents and descents ranging from 600 to 1,000 meters in elevation and 5–9 hours of hiking per day. To conclude our trip, we’ll take a guided tour through the historic center of Sibiu and have one last chance to enjoy the excellent Romanian cuisine…
