An icy wind blows, even though there isn’t a cloud in the sky. All we can hear is our own breathing and the crunching snow beneath our feet as we slowly make our way to the SUVs, put on the snow chains, and start the engines. The sun slowly rises above the mountain peaks on the horizon; the first rays touch and warm our faces. The branches of the fir trees bend under the heavy weight of the snow; the new morning greets us as we look down into the valley… It’s exactly as we imagined it. Transylvania, enveloped in an enchanting white winter blanket.
